New Delhi: Speaking about the new education policy, Prakash Javadekar said that the aim of the Modi government is to cut the curriculum of almost 50% of each category. Javadekar said that the work has been started and work has been done to reduce the curriculum of about 10-15% each year. Moreover, Javadekar said that the human brain is not just a bank to store data.
The Union Minister claimed that the Modi government will work to change the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan running from the earlier Congress government to the entire education campaign. Under this scheme, the Central Government and the State Government will provide fund to purchase sports goods to the schools.
Under the new education policy, where children's curricula will be reduced to half. But school children will also need to participate in sports so that they can be fully developed and children can be ready for all future challenges.
Why did not it be made a separate ministry by bringing the skill development under the HRD Ministry? Responding to that question, Prakash Javadekar said that by making separate ministry for any major work, the work can be given better justice.
